Led by highly experienced mountain guide & yoga teacher Heather Kinang, you’ll be immersed in the vibrant culture of Kathmandu, before journeying through the verdant valleys of eastern Nepal. You’ll ascend from the lush green of the foothills to the vast glaciers and razor-sharp ridgelines of the Everest Himalayas, home of the world's highest peaks.
Above the Sherpa heartland of Namche Bazaar we will explore the ancient trade route from Thame north towards the Nangpa La - a journey still plied by trans-Himalayan traders – passing through pine and rhododendron forests and tiny Sherpa villages. This region of Nepal is less frequented by trekkers so you’ll have a good chance of seeing the impressive wildlife of the region: musk deer, pheasants and Himalayan tahr.
Back in Namche Bazaar we’ll swap stories, enjoy hot showers, shopping and resting before we head down and along to Lukla for our short flight back to Kathmandu.
